Forge North Football
What is it?
Forge North Football is our football project in the North of the City. It's an open football session that is free to all young people ages 11-16 (School years 7-11).
You can find us on Mondays from 6pm down at the 3G pitches at Concord Sports Centre in term time.
We started our project in 2016 and we are still running thanks to support from our partners.
The session is for 11-16s and begins at 6pm
Supported by the National Lottery.
Consent Forms
Young people are welcome to drop into our sessions but do need to have consent and emergency details for the young people at our sessions. You can find our consent form on the link below:
How does it work?
You don't need to book a space, you can just turn up at the right time. We organise games and sessions for the young people that attend on a Monday evening. Whoever comes along we get some matches going between the young people.
We have a Christian ethos across all our projects. This means is that anyone is welcome, regardless of background or ability and we don't want anything to stop you from enjoying your football so the session is free to young people and there is a great team there to look after you and make you feel welcome.
We want football to be played with a positive attitude; where people give their best and are positive towards teammates, opposition and leaders. We want to encourage and build up team and young people to be leaders and give opportunities for them to step up in sports leadership.
The Forge projects in Shiregreen are now part of St James and St Christophers Church, Shiregreen.
